At Halmstad Gårdshotell you check into a nice hotel room with beautifully made beds, soft terry toweling and fragrant shampoo/conditioner in the shower. Even though we don't have a restaurant and no breakfast, we say that we offer "all inclusive". The coffee machine is always on and coffee/tea is included. We have plenty of parking and the parking is included. The grill is always ready and charcoal is included. The guest laundry is always available and detergent is included. The guest kitchen is always open, fully equipped and ready for cooking. Our studios also have their own kitchen and coffee maker!

We like it when our guests invite their guests for a barbecue or just a Swedish fika.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation can be made no later than 3 days before arrival. For longer stays (7 nights or more), the cancellation must be made 14 days before the day of arrival. A booking automatically becomes a group booking when you are more than 10 guests or book more than 4 rooms. In the case of a group booking, changes or cancellations, must be made no later than 14 days before arrival. Late cancellation means full payment.

If your reservation was made with booking.com or hotels.com, changes or cancellations are made with them (no exceptions).​

Payment

All bookings are paid before check-in or when checking in. Payment can be made by card. We do not accept American Express or Diners. We are a cashless facility. In other words, it is not possible to pay with cash.

Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is from 16:00 to 19:00.

• Check-out no later than 11.00 on the day of departure.

Express check-out is done by simply putting the room key in the room door and then leave. This assumes that the room has been paid for and no payment remains.

 

Parking

We have a total of 12 parking spaces. If you have an electric car, we have three charging stations. You start the car charge with an app, "Bravida Charge". The church's parish garden next door also has eight charging stations for electric cars and you start them with the app, "EasyPark". In addition our parking spaces our guests can use the 60 parking spaces at the school/church next door. Distance to the hotel from these parking spaces is approx. 50m.

 

Wifi and TV

We have really fast Wifi / Internet and you can find the login info in your room. The number of channels on the TV is limited to a few Swedish basic channels. Feel free to bring your own Chromecast and plug into the TV.​

Cleaning

All room cleaning is included! For shorter stays, 3 nights and shorter, we do not clean during your stay (only when you departure). For longer stays, we change towels and do a light cleaning. For "long stays", we carry out weekly cleaning (full cleaning and change of bed linen).

Note that dishes are handled by all guests themselves, regardless of whether you have your own kitchen or use the guest kitchen.​

Smoking and alcohol

Indoors we are a completely non-smoking facility. It is fine to smoke outdoors as long as you show respect and use the ashtrays. We do not have an alcohol license so we apply "bring your own wine". However, we are not a facility where you party...

Pets / Dogs

On the farm we have chickens and rabbits. Sometimes we are visited by wild animals such as deer, fox or moose. We like dogs and have some rooms/studios where dogs are welcome. All are on the ground floor and have their own entrance. Dogs must always be booked in advance and can never be booked through Booking.com or Hotels.com. We charge SEK 300 per dog and stay (or week) in hotel room, SEK 500 per dog and stay (or week) in studios and SEK 1000 per dog and stay (or week) in the Suit. Damages caused by the dog are paid for by its owner.

Guest kitchen, grill and pizza oven

Our guest kitchen is well equipped (but no dishwasher). We have a good coffee machine and coffee/tea is included. There is always a basic range of herbs available. The grill is always ready. The pizza oven can always be lit. Charcoal, electric lighters and the tools needed for the grill or pizza oven are of course available and included.

Garden

We love gardening and growing our own food and we hope you like our garden too. Use the garden as much as you can and want. Eat outside, lie in the grass and smell the flowers :).

Children

We like children and children are always welcome. Children who sleep in their parents' bed do not need to be declared when you book, but children who sleep in their own bed are equivalent to an adult when booking. Children are children but are expected to behave. Parents are always responsible for their children.

Fire protection

Fire protection is important and our fire alarm is directly connected to the emergency services. A false alarm means a that the firefighters come to a visit. That visit is costly. If the alarm is caused by the guest due to negligence, the guest is responsible for the emergency costs. Therefore, be careful when cooking and always use the kitchen fan.
